Summer has officially arrived at Pine Terrace Resort, and what a wonderful start it has been!
Our first guests of the season have wasted no time jumping into all the fun that makes a Northwoods vacation so special. Literally. The water trampoline has already logged more jumps than a Minnesota walleye in a livewell.
One of the biggest hits so far has been our brand-new Looney Links Mini Golf Course. Families have been having a blast making their way through the course, and the Round 2 Challenge has quickly become a favorite for guests looking to test their skills and earn a little bragging rights!
We were also excited to witness one of our longtime Pine Terrace families' annual Carpetball Tournament. Watching generations gather around the table for some friendly competition is exactly the kind of tradition that makes this place so special!
Guests have also been loving several of our new and refreshed recreation areas. Like the giant Tic-Tac-Toe & Checker boards, remodeled Horseshoe Pits, and updated Ping Pong area have all been getting plenty of use and rave reviews from kids and adults alike.
Of course, fishing continues to be one of the highlights of summer on the Star Lake chain. Families have been catching—and cleaning—lots of fish, with many ending their days around the table enjoying fresh fish fry dinners together. There’s just something special about serving fish that was caught only hours earlier.
The kids have been especially busy tackling our new Bobber Trail Challenge. Hidden along the trail are 20 colorful bobbers waiting to be discovered. Young explorers can search for every bobber while enjoying the beautiful woods surrounding the resort. Pair that with our scavenger hunt, and many kids have happily spent hours adventuring outdoors.
Nature has been putting on quite a show as well. Guests have enjoyed peaceful evenings listening to the beautiful calls of loons echo across the lake, spotting baby animals around the property, and watching turtles. We’ve even started seeing the exciting moment when several baby turtles hatch and make their determined journey toward the water—a reminder of just how special life on the lake can be.
We’ve also stocked the Pine Terrace Store with lots of fun new goodies for the season! Guests have been checking out our new resort apparel, including UNRL sweatshirts, cozy tees, and kids' clothing. The store is also filled with toys, stuffies, snacks, and everyone's favorite summer snack — ice cream treats! Whether you forgot something at home, need a little reward after conquering the Bobber Trail Challenge, or just want a Pine Terrace souvenir to take home, be sure to stop in and take a look.
We are incredibly grateful for all the families who choose to spend part of their summer with us. To our returning guests, we can't wait to see you again. And to those visiting Pine Terrace for the first time, we're excited to welcome you to the resort and share everything that makes this little corner of the Northwoods so special.
